Flexible Spending Accounts

Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) allow you to make pre-tax deductions from payroll and then use those pre-tax funds to pay for eligible expenses.

There are three separate FSA options that you may be able to elect, the Healthcare FSA, Dependent Care FSA, and the Limited Purpose FSA.

Healthcare FSA

A Healthcare FSA allows ZEOs to set aside pre-tax money for eligible medical expenses, dental, and vision expenses.

Eligibility: The Healthcare FSA is not available to those enrolled in the Blue Shield High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP).

2026 Contribution Limits: $3,400 annually

Funding: Funds are front-loaded into your account, with the full balance being available to use at the start of the year, or after your New Hire enrollment is processed.

Deadlines & Grace Period: You should plan to use all FSA funds by December 31 of the current plan year. If you are unable to do so, Zuora’s plan includes a grace period that allows you to incur eligible expenses through March 15 of the following year.

You will have until March 31 of the following year to submit claims for expenses incurred during the prior plan year. Any remaining balance from the prior plan year that is still in your account after March 31 will be forfeited in accordance with IRS rules.

A Dependent Care FSA allows employees to use pre-tax dollars to pay for qualified dependent care expenses.

2026 Contribution Limits: $7,500 per household ($3,750 if married and filing separately)

Funding: Funds will be available as deposited into your account.

Limited Purpose FSA

If you’re enrolled in the Blue Shield High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) through Zuora, you’ll also have the option to participate in a Limited Purpose Flexible Spending Account (LPFSA).

Unlike a traditional Health Care FSA, an LPFSA can be used only for eligible dental and vision expenses. It’s designed to work alongside your Health Savings Account (HSA), giving you an additional way to save pre-tax dollars on qualified care.

Eligibility: The Limited Purpose FSA is only available to ZEOs enrolled in the Blue Shield High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP).

Managing your FSA

FSA contribution amounts are set by you during new hire enrollment or open enrollment each year, and can not be changed during the year unless you experience a qualified life event.

You can view your account balance and submit claims for reimbursement in your Navia portal. After enrollment, Navia will send a debit card to your home address that can be used for all eligible expenses coded with a proper merchant code. If not coded in the system, you can pay out of pocket for eligible expenses and file for reimbursement in your Navia account. You can link your account information in your Navia portal for expenses to be reimbursed directly into your bank account.
